A spectacular summer 2012 influences Halloween costumes
While summer wasn’t necessarily sunny, it was pretty fun all the same. First off, this summer’s film season has been incredible. The release of blockbusters like The Amazing Spider-Man, Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, Avengers Assemble, Men in Black III, The Dictator, Prometheus, G.I. Joe Retaliation, Brave, The Bourne Legacy, The Expendables 2 and Total Recall kept us entertained and enthralled no end.
In June, the nationwide Jubilee celebrations saw us decorating our streets with jolly Union Jack bunting and buying copious amounts of Pimms for our street parties and barbeques.
The next big exciting events (after the Euros, of course), were Olympic and Paralympic Games. Captivating the country from start to finish, Great Britain’s athletes earned a total of 65 medals in the Olympics, and an even more stunning 120 in the Paralympics, bowling us over with their strength and determination.
But now, as summer looks to be drawing in, we’re looking forward to the next big national event – Halloween 2012!

Our favourite superhero of the summer season, Batman is also the best and most apt superhero costume for Halloween. Bats are a Halloween favourite, he’s a man who dresses as a bat, so why not go as Batman? It makes perfect sense.
Bane
While Batman might be a firm favourite of movie fans, Bane, his arch-enemy, has proven to be popular when it comes to Halloween costumes for 2012.
Ninja-look Spiderman
Spidie always looks great in blue and red, but there’s something a little more shadowy on offer for Halloween. This silver and black Spiderman costume is the ideal outfit for All Hallows Eve, with a slightly more sinister, scary superhero edge.
