A COUPLE with three children living in Dudley have been arrested over the alleged murder of a woman in Holland 10 years ago after human remains were found at a campsite.

Darius Majchrzak, 39, and Samea Kubiak, 35, are accused of killing Paulina Starczewska, 21.

They are also accused of then burying her underneath a caravan at a site on the outskirts of Amsterdam.

The couple, who have three children and now live in Dudley, left Holland for France in 2000, before moving to the UK six years ago.

They were arrested on May 14 after police were called to a domestic incident outside their home in Occupation Road, Dudley.

West Midlands Police worked with Interpol and the Serious and Organised Crime Agency and the couple were further arrested under the Extradition Act on suspicion of the murder.

They both appeared in custody yesterday at Westminster Magistrates Court at the start of extradition proceedings.

Three West Midlands Police detectives travelled to Holland as part of a joint investigation with Dutch authorities, who re-opened the case into the disappearance of Miss Starczewska.

Her mother reported her missing in August 2002, but the case remained unsolved.

Police in Amsterdam later found the remains of a woman at the Het Rietveen camp site in Landsmeer, outside Amsterdam.

Majchrzak and Kubiak were living at the campsite at the time of the alleged murder, the court heard.

After her arrest Kubiak told detectives Majchrzak killed Miss Starczewska in early 2000 at the campsite.

Kubiak, who is eight months pregnant, was remanded in custody until June 2. Majchrzak was remanded in custody until June 12.
