Double Brit Award-winner Ed Sheeran will join headline acts The Stone Roses and The Killers at this year's Weston Park V Festival, it was announced today.

Evergreen singer Tom Jones will also at the event on August 18 and 19, alongside stadium rockers Snow Patrol and former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher.

The event, on the east Shropshire border near Shifnal, will also feature Tinie Tempah, Olly Murs, Example, Madness, David Guetta and Nero.

Tickets go on sale on March 2 at 10am, and V Festival organisers today urged fans to make sure they only bought from official outlets.

Festival director Simon Moran said: "We're really delighted with the line-up this year.

"We have a great mix of artists topping a bill that will see the welcome return to live performance of Manchester's finest export, The Stone Roses, along with some of the biggest acts in the music industry today including The Killers, Tinie Tempah, Ed Sheeran and the legendary Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds.

"The mix of established and exciting breakthrough acts promises to give festival goers a cracking weekend."
