Hundreds of women across the Black Country and Shropshire have donated their old bras in support of a breast cancer charity.
The We Want Any Bra campaign is being run by Beacon Radio to raise cash for Breast Cancer Care. Car website We Want Any Car are behind the effort.
Scores of the bras were placed on the turf of Molineux yesterday to mark the success of the campaign. More than 150 workplaces set up bra banks, asking women to pop a pound coin in each cup.
Men have also been getting involved and donating any boxers or briefs with £2 attached. Staff from Beacon Radio collected the bras last week and this week.
Beacon spokeswoman Kate Fuller said today: “So far we’ve had 800 bras and collected about £2,000.”
Once all the bras have been collected, Breast Cancer Care will send them to textile firms to raise even more money.
