Wolves star Karl Henry met hundreds of job hunters at an employment fair in the city.
The midfielder was at the Inspire 2 Independence organised event in George Street, Wolverhampton, yesterday.
More than 500 job hunters turned up throughout the day, with representatives from the likes of Jaguar Land Rover and National Express advertising positions. Army and Navy representatives were also there, as well as Walsall College.
Julia Hackett, performance improvement manager at Inspire 2 Independence, said: “We work with the long term unemployed to help them back into work.
“The job fair was really successful. We had about 500 clients coming through the doors. It’s been nice having Karl here as well.”
Karl, who handed out signed photographs, said: “I think events like these are great if they help people find work.
“Times are hard for many at the moment.”
