Albrighton M54 slip road to close

A slip road from the M54 motorway near Wolverhampton will be closed tonight and tomorrow night for resurfacing work.

The Highways Agency will begin work to resurface the eastbound entry slip road at M54 junction three near Albrighton. The road will be shut each night between 9pm and 6am.

Highways Agency project manager Purnima Kaul said: “We will endeavour to complete this necessary work as quickly and efficiently as possible, and we are carrying it out overnight to reduce the impact on motorists.”

On Monday six weeks of roadworks will begin on the A449 Stafford Road between the M54 junction 2 and Coven Heath. Overnight and full weekend closures will take place and a 17-mile diversion will apply.
