Police have been granted more time to question a man in connection with the death of Jagjit Singh Villkhu, whose body was found on park land in Willenhall.

The discovery was made in the early hours of Tuesday morning on land known locally as The Summers, between Villiers Street and St Anne’s Road.

Detectives have now gained a warrant for more time to quiz a 28-year-old, who was arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 25-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with the death has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Officers were called to the park land at around 12.30am.

The identity of the victim was yesterday revealed as Mr Singh, who was 33 and from the Willenhall area.
