Four arrested after man’s body found in Willenhall

A murder investigation was under way today after the body of a man was found on parkland in Willenhall.
Officers were called to land between Villiers Street and St Anne’s Road in the early hours of this morning.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident. The man was found dead at the scene at around 12.30am.
Forensic officers were this morning combing the area and the road was closed.
Lee Page, of West Midlands Police, said: “Police have launched an investigation following a serious incident on an area of parkland in Willenhall overnight. The death is being treated as suspicious and an investigation has been launched.”
Neighbours today spoke of their shock. Willenhall South ward councillor Sean Coughlan said: “Obviously this is the last thing we want to see in Willenhall.”
The parkland is known locally as The Summers.
