Man hit by car in Wolverhampton
Monday 16th January 2012, 5:00PM GMT.
A man was airlifted to hospital today after being knocked down on Penn Road in Wolverhampton.
Emergency services were called to the scene, next to Penn Hospital, at 11.50am. The man was hit by a beige VW Beetle.
Claire Thomas, spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance, said: “The pedestrian was unconscious when we arrived.” The crash caused long tailbacks as Penn Road was closed at its junction with Manor Road.
