A pet cat, which went missing two years ago, has been reunited with his Black Country owners.
Helen Foden said she had given up hope of ever seeing Squeak again, but her family were given a surprise New Year gift when the RSPCA re-united them with their much-loved moggie. Ms Foden, of Green Lane, Great Barr, said Squeak went missing in October 2009, leaving the family very upset.
She said: “Squeak was my sons’ pet, so when he went missing they were very sad. We kept thinking he would turn up, but, as the months went past, we gave up hope.”
The 36-year-old accountant, said the whole family were both shocked and delighted when they had a call from the RSPCA who had found the cat which was microchipped. Inspector Rebecca Cooper found Squeak on Foxton Road in Birmingham.
