The pantomime season in Cannock has broken all records with sell-out performances for most shows, theatre bosses revealed today.

Now future productions at Prince of Wales Centre may be extended to cope with demand.

The 12-show run of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which ends tomorrow, has sold out for all but two performances.

The panto, which stars former Coronation Street actor Chris Quinten, opened on Christmas Eve and traditionally runs for just a week.

But with more than 5,000 people booking to see the 2011 show, talks are due to take place to offer a longer run next year. Duty manager Sandra Conroy said: “We’re thrilled with the attendances.”
