The club also announced today that its shop in Dudley Street, Wolverhampton city centre, is to get a total refurbishment. This is also due for completion next year.
Bosses have tasked retail experts Wests Design Consultants Ltd with creating a “modern and cutting edge” shop within the Stand Cullis stand measuring 4,553 sq ft.
They have appointed a new head of retail and merchandising, June Walsh, to oversee the huge project.
She said: “The club has some really exciting plans not simply to develop its retail operation but also to improve the products and services on offer to supporters.
“Over the coming months I’ll be meeting Wolves fans face-to-face to get their feedback and ideas which will help us provide the products they really want.”
The new-look Stan Cullis stand will boost the stadium’s capacity from 29,408 to 31,700 when it is opened.
The lower tier of the new 7,700-seater, two-tier stand has already been completed, while parts of the upper tier and some parts of the roof have been installed.
However high winds have delayed the work to build a new roof, as workers cannot lift the steelwork into place.
