Don't you love it when a van comes together? Businessman Tag Majid certainly does, with his new set of wheels set to take the Black Country party scene by storm.

He has spent around £30,000 buying and restoring a classic GMC Vandura van made famous by the hit US television show The A Team.

The replica van, built in 1985, has been decked out in the full trim and colours of the legendary vehicle as driven by B.A. Baracus. Renovation took eight months.

But this van does have a few optional extras. It is fitted with a flat-screen television, DVD player and sound system.

And for that added slice of nostalgia, it will even play the A Team theme song from a built-in speaker behind the front grille. Mr Majid, aged 40, has secured a licence enabling him to hire out the vehicle for special occasions such as weddings and proms through his firm Just For Hire West Midlands.

He says the van has caused quite a stir as he has driven it around the area.

"It has been really hard work and cost a lot of money to get it all done and for the licence but it's worth it," he said.

"To see people's reactions when you turn up to collect them for a wedding and just driving around has been great."
