Delays on M6 at rush hour

Motorists were caught up in long delays on the M6 in the West Midlands today after a pallet fell off a lorry.
Part of the northbound carriageway was blocked between Walsall and the M54 turn-off during the early morning rush-hour.
Debris strewn across lane one, between 10 and 10a, caused stop-start queues stretching for almost three miles following the incident at 6.38am.
