A machete, a taser and a hunting knife have been seized today and three men from the same family arrested during a series of raids in Coseley.

Cannabis, a substance believed to be cocaine, an extendable baton and a BB gun were also found along with a "substantial" amount of cash.

In a simultaneous operation at around 8am, officers broke down doors at Spencer Avenue and Harding Street in the town following tip-offs from members of the public.

A 25-year-old man was arrested from Spencer Avenue, while a father and son aged 45 and 22 were arrested at Harding Avenue.

A third house in Broad Street was also visited, but nothing was found and no arrests were made.

All three homes belong to members of the same family.

Sgt Jimmy Jones from the Coseley neighbourhood policing team said the warrants were executed under the Firearms Act and the Misuse of Drugs Act. "Acting upon community intelligence we have responded by executing warrants at these three addresses," he said. "As a consequence, three people have been arrested and are in custody."
