Connie Talbot on song for success

She is the little girl from Streetly with the big voice – and Connie Talbot’s star shows no sign of fading as she gets ready to release her new single later this month.

The talented 10-year-old penned Beautiful World when she was just seven and will be releasing the track on iTunes on November 28.

A demo of the song has been available on YouTube for less than 24 hours but has already attracted more than 11,000 views. Just hours after it went online, it was the 39th most watched music video worldwide that day.

Mum Sharon said the Blackwood Primary School pupil, who made her name on Britain’s Got Talent aged six, was enjoying music more and more.

“Everything is going really well,” said Mrs Talbot. “Connie is enjoying things more and more and is getting more creative by the day. As long as she is happy, we are happy.

“The single is coming out on the 28th and then Connie will be performing with the Young Voices choir at the MEN Arena in Manchester in January.

“We put a short demo on YouTube of the new single and it got thousands of hits in just a few short hours. People just kept on watching it.”

Connie has also posted a video online of her singing Adele’s hit Rolling In The Deep, which has now been watched a staggering 4,684,445 times.

The youngster melted the nation’s hearts with her performance of Over The Rainbow on the TV talent show. Since then, she has released albums and travelled around the world performing in front of millions.
