Chris’ big challenge as MasterChef:The Professionals returns

Chef Chris Williams will be seen by millions taking on two of the nation’s most feared critics – the MasterChef judges.

Chris, who runs the cafe at the Ruskin Glass Centre, has won a place in the latest series of MasterChef: The Professionals, which starts tonight.

He will be hoping to wow legendary double Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux Jr and Masterchef dining expert Gregg Wallace with his cooking.

First though he will have to impress Michel’s sous chef Monica Galetti.

The 35-year-old, who has worked at the cafe at the glass centre on Wollaston Road, Amblecote, since it opened just over 12 months ago, made it through thousands of applications to get onto the televised stages of the show.

The show was recorded earlier this year and Mr Williams, who lives in Cookley near Kidderminster, had to tackle an array of cooking challenges.
