Man, 22, to be quizzed on death of Stafford woman

A 22-year-old man was in custody today after being arrested in connection with the murder of a Stafford woman.

Susan Gray, aged 49, of Oxford Gardens, was shot dead at her home on Thursday morning.

Detectives from Staffordshire Police’s Major Investigation Department have launched a murder inquiry into the incident.

The man in custody is being assessed under the Mental Health Act and police say they are unable to interview him at this time.

The scene remained cordoned off on Friday.
