Driver dies in Stourton head-on van crash

A man has died and another suffered head injuries following a head-on smash between two vans on a Midland road.

The driver of one of the vans, a 55-year-old man from Stourbridge, was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the second van, a 34-year-old man from Tipton, suffered head injuries in the crash.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Dudley’s Russells Hall Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

Police and paramedics were called to the junction of Chester Road and Clanbrook Road, in Stourton, following the collision just before 3.30pm yesterday.
