Stafford pub landlord bidding farewell

A landlord is to call time on his career after working at the same Stafford pub for nearly 30 years.
Richard Owen is retiring from The Luck Penny, in Crab Lane, Stafford, after being a familiar and popular fixture behind the bar for almost three decades.
Mr Owen, aged 56, will be saying farewell to his regulars at a farewell on Saturday.
“I have got mixed emotions about leaving. I will miss the people here, I have a made a lot of friends over the years, but I’m looking forward to having more time to myself,” he said.
