Stafford ex-rugby player Mike loses 10 stone
Wednesday 26th October 2011, 11:29AM BST.
Ex-rugby player Mike Ward would have beefed up any scrum when he weighed in at a massive 26 stone 12lbs.
But the 25-year-old has kicked his unhealthy lifestyle into touch and shed 10 stone in just a year while trimming his waist size by 16 inches. Mike decided enough was enough in September last year when he tipped the scales at his heaviest and joined a gym.
His 6ft 3ins frame had ballooned when he gave up playing rugby at the age of 17, and piling on the pounds meant his waist measured a mighty 54 inches.
Mike, from Coghlan Drive, Stafford, admitted to being too fond of pizza and chips swilled down with beer and vodka Red Bull on nights out with mates.
But after he decided to change his life forever, determined Mike dedicated as much as six days a week to the gym, pushing himself to the limit as he targeted an amazing transformation.
