Bid to buy Walsall FC’s Banks’s Stadium rejected

A £4.6 million bid to buy Walsall FC’s Banks’s Stadium has been rejected, it was revealed today.

PMD Magnetics had tabled the substantial bid to buy the stadium freehold and 17 acres of surrounding land.

But Geoff Dance, managing director of the Stratford-Upon-Avon company today revealed that his offer had been turned down.

“It is disappointing that there was never any serious engagement by the seller,” said the 62-year-old businessman, who says he is a lifelong Walsall supporter.

Was there any engagement at all by the seller?

This might tell us whether there was any intent on his behalf.

Having bought the paper I am disappointed that this issue has had so little further info.
