Monday 24th October 2011, 11:02AM BST.
Heavy rain was moving in to lash the West Midlands tonight – bringing a risk of flash flooding.
Severe weather warnings have been issued, with the West Midlands among areas urged to be ready for torrential downpours.
Around two inches may fall in the region, with up to 50mph gusts of wind.
The Met Office said in a statement: “Rain may be sufficient to disrupt travel and give rise to localised flooding.”
