Plan for Tesco at old 999 HQ Stafford site

A new Tesco store is to be built on the site of the former Staffordshire Ambulance Service headquarters in Stafford.

The old building off the A34 Stone Road has just been demolished to make way for redevelopment by site owners Suma Developments Ltd.

Suma has just signed up Tesco to take a 4,000sq ft store on the site for which it already has planning permission.

The retail development on the one-acre site is expected to create about 30 jobs and is intended to serve the community in the north end of the town.
