A popular interactive area at RAF Cosford Museum has re-opened following a £30,000 revamp. The Fun ’n’ Flight gallery is used by more than 20,000 visitors each year.

And it now boasts three new exhibits.

Sue Fitzsimmons, head of access and learning development at the museum, said: “The addition of these three new exhibits marks a significant development for our interactive gallery.

“They will enable children and visitors to explore areas of science and technology not previously covered in an exciting and innovative way.”

The grant from the RAF Charitable Trust has also enabled museum bosses to replace text panels, electrical circuits and upgrade the RAF Cosford weather station.

The Fun ’n’ Flight Gallery was originally opened in 2000 following a £25,000 donation from the family of a pilot who severed in Bomber Command during World War Two.
