Popular Stafford pub will reopen

A pub in Stafford town centre is set to reopen within weeks after closing its doors suddenly in the summer.
The popular Bird In Hand pub, in Victoria Square, was shut without warning in July.
Vicky Averis, spokeswoman for Enterprise Inns which repossessed the pub, said interviews were currently taking place for a new tenant in the hope of reopening the pub before Christmas.
The pub, opposite Stafford Crown Court, had been a popular venue for live music events before its closure.
