The StartUp Britain bus arrived at Wolverhampton’s Science Park where visitors were able to get advice on starting their own business.

Local entrepreneurs were on hand to advise people on how best to launch their own business and how to help existing companies grow.

On the bus was 30-year-old Tom Warrender from Pendeford who quit his job teaching nurses at Birmingham University to set up a company called Classroom Medics.

Now the human physiology graduate travels to schools across the UK helping give youngsters a hands-on biology lesson.

Tom says: “It was three years ago that I set up Classroom Medics with my wife Davina and when we first started it was difficult to get funding.

“However, even though we were in a recession I managed to secure the funding and now I have been to 200 schools across the UK and seen more than 100,000 children.”
