Cannock man victim of M54 crash

Wednesday 14th September 2011, 11:29AM BST.

A man who died when he was thrown out of a van in a four-vehicle crash on the M54 was from Staffordshire.

Chris Tolley, who was in his 50s and from Cannock, was found following the crash on the westbound carriageway between Junction 3 at Albrighton and Junction 4 at Shifnal at 8.30am on Monday. He was confirmed dead at the scene.

Mr Tolley, of Trinity Close, worked at Pentalver Cannock Ltd as a lorry driver. His son Steve still works there.

The crash closed a stretch of the motorway for several hours.
