Family heartbroken as puppy is snatched
Monday 29th August 2011, 11:30AM BST.
Two opportunist thieves stole a 16-week-old pedigree spaniel puppy and escaped on a motorbike, leaving the dog’s owners distraught.
The two men were riding a motorbike in Kelvin Way trading estate in West Bromwich, when they stopped. One of them leapt off the bike and grabbed the dog from a cage, and the pair sped off. The snatch was caught by CCTV cameras.
The dog’s owners Pauline and Ian Parsons, both 45, of Amblecote in Brierley Hill, said they were “heartbroken” by the loss of their pet.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police, Brigg Ford, said police were appealing for information on the theft or the whereabouts of the dog.
Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 0345 113 5000.
