Sabre Gilmartin has travelled more than three-and-a-half thousand miles to perfect a traditional Black Country skill that has made her a popular name in the industry.
Glass Jewellery designer Sabre Gilmartin left her New York home for the leafy surburbs of Stourbridge to learn the art of glassmaking.
Sabre works from a studio at the bottom of her garden where she crafts unique one-off individual pieces of jewellery,
But it’s not just glass that has captured Sabre’s imagination. She uses a variety of mediums including enamels and a material more commonly used for making children’s toys.
Nicky Butler went along to meet her.
