Teenage rider is killed in accident

A teenage motorcyclist died in a collision with a car on a road in Staffordshire.

A passing ambulance came across the accident on the Weston Road near the entrance to the County Showground in Stafford.

Firefighters released Stefan Clarke-Critchlow, aged 18, from Weston, from under the car but he was confirmed dead at the scene.

The accident involving a 125cc Yamaha motorcycle and a Vauxhall Antara happened at 8.40pm on Saturday and the road was closed for three-and-a-half hours.

Staffordshire police are appealing for any witnesses to the accident to contact 0300 123 4455 quoting incident 864 of August 20

He was the second rider to die in a crash in Staffordshire in a matter of days. A 21-year-old Stafford man, Scott Brayne, died after his motorcycle went into a ditch at Sandon Bank, near Stafford, on Wednesday.
