X Factor and pantomime star Niki Evans was the star attraction during a special behind-the-scenes open day at Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre.

The 38-year-old, who has carved out a successful career in musical theatre since her 2007 appearance on the TV talent show, belted out songs and met with fans.

Birmingham-born Niki, currently starring as Mrs Johnston in a national tour of the West End show Blood Brothers, will return to the Lichfield Street theatre in December to play The Fairy in this year's pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

She said: "It's always great to be back back in Wolverhampton and I have a lot of support here. It's was really nice to be asked back to the Grand Theatre because I love it here."

Tickets for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which also stars celebrity couple Linda Lusardi and Sam Kane, are on sale now. The panto will run from December 10 until January 22.
