Three hurt in road accidents

Three people were taken to hospital after three crashes in the Black Country.
A woman suffered neck injuries in a smash between a Ford Fiesta and a taxi in Salter Road, Tipton, shortly before 8pm yesterday. Firefighters cut the roof off the car.
A car and a lorry collided on a stretch of motorway close to junction one of the M5 near West Bromwich, forcing the northbound slip road to close at around 6.15pm.
Part of Highgate Road, in Brierley Hill, was closed for around half an hour when the driver of a convertible car lost control and smashed into the central reservation. The silver Audi A4 hit the central barrier close shortly after 3.10pm.
