First view from Molineux’s new stand

Saturday 30th July 2011, 11:31AM BST.

Molineux’s new Stan Cullis Stand was today rapidly taking shape with the first concrete tier now virtually in place.

Fans can see club owner Steve Morgan’s ambitious dream becoming a reality.

This exclusive photograph shows the gangways fans will climb to reach their seats as well as the improved concourse areas.

Mr Morgan, who wants more luxurious fan areas in the ground, mirroring his side’s Premier League status, is said to be delighted by the work.

He hopes the lower tier will be completed in two months, in time to release 3,700 seats to fans for the home fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on September 10.

I look at the above comments with a somewhat bittersweet view. Spare a thought for the 50 or so disabled fans who normally sit on the front row of the Stan Cullis shielding the able bodied from the elements. We have just been informed at the 11th hour that we will be not only be missing the first couple of games due to the new development, but we are expected to miss the whole season.naturally it is only us. First own goal of the season Wolves!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of us are having disruptions due to stadium work. I am a season ticket holder in the Jack Harris and having to be relocated for no doubt a few seasons due to this work. Into the Steve bull upper!
Look at the bigger picture it us going to cause short term problems with tickets however long term for WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS and all it’s supporters it’s what we need to push on.
Be patient you not the only one sacrifices

Fans with Fish Eyes only will be allowed to sit in the new stand!

Presume the workmen looking out over the pitch are Albion fans who can’t stop looking with envy at the Golden Palace.

Its coming along nicely. Everything is coming along brilliantly on and off the pitch and if things continue the way they are, we could have some special times ahead for us in the not too distant future.

I just cant work it out. We are debt free but about to start the first stage of £40 million for an extra 7,000 seats. The income from these seats wont cover the interest on the debt, and if we go down, then it looks very bleak. I am a season ticket holder in the north bank. trust me the seat, view, toilets were fine , the only poor area being the appalingly slow service at half time for refreshments of the very expensive food and drink. any thoughts please mr morgan?

Molineux may become the new, redeveloped Taj Mahal of Midlands stadia! There is a golden future for our club and Wolves are going to run wild, once again, as Jez suggested, once all is solidified and in place, like our halcyon days under the iron will of big Stan the Man Cullis! UTMW!

A great era to be a Wolves fan. I’ve waited a long time to see our club heading in the right direction with the aim of fulfilling its potential. Not just a bigger stadium with the option of increasing capacity further in the future…but a class stadium built from quality materials/fittings.
A new ground that all the people (not just football fans) of Wolverhampton will be rightly proud of.
Hats off to the chairman and builder.. Steve Morgan!

The money for the rebuilding of the stadium has been allocated from club funds.
IE…no money, not a penny has been borrowed, therefore no debt and no interest incurred.
The capacity will be an initial 38000 with an option upto approx 50000 if required in the future.
For any info regarding the redevelopment of Molineux theres a link dedicated to it on the club website that will explain all.

    Hope this helps :-)
