Royal visit to see £32m Edgbaston revamp

The Duke of Edinburgh was in Birmingham today to officially open the revamped £32 million Edgbaston Cricket Ground as part of a hat-trick of royal visits to the city.
Prince Philip was at Warwickshire County Cricket Club where he unveiled a plaque to mark the occasion and was given a tour of the new facilities.
Meanwhile the Duchess of Cornwall was at the Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston to present volunteers from the Wolverhampton Walking for
Health scheme with the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, and The Prince of Wales was meeting military and civilian staff at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
