Five arrests in Sandwell drugs blitz

Police have arrested five men following a series of drugs raids carried out in Sandwell.

Officers executed seven warrants during yesterday’s blitz.

They arrested two men in Gladstone Street, West Bromwich, where a large amount of a substance suspected to be herbal cannabis was seized along with a smaller amount of suspected Class A drugs.

The 40-year-old and 20-year-old men were arrested for possession with intent to supply cannabis. The younger man was also arrested on suspicion of burglary after property believed to be stolen was found.

Further warrants were executed at Ruskin Street, West Bromwich and Pavilion Avenue, Tipton.

A small cannabis set up was also found in Newton Gardens, Great Barr.
