Appeal over theft of CBSO bassoon
Friday 22nd July 2011, 11:30AM BST.
A City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra musician has been left devastated after her bassoon was stolen from her house.
Gretha Tuls, section leader bassoon in the orchestra arrived home on Monday to find someone had broken into her home in Birmingham and stole all her possessions including the bassoon.
Miss Tuls said: “I am Dutch and moved to Birmingham last September to work with this fantastic orchestra. I was devastated when I came home and found that someone had broken into my house in the middle of the day and took all my possessions and my bassoon.
“It is absolutely horrifying that I don’t know where it is and what happened to it. It is an old instrument and it has sentimental value as I have played it for many years. I am very fond of it and hope with all my heart that it turns up somewhere”.
If anyone has any information, please contact the orchestra on 0121 616 6500, via email or on Facebook and Twitter.
