Thinking pink doubles twins’ business

Twin sisters Amanda and Leanne Hopkins are literally in the pink – after a change of colour scheme doubled their business overnight.
The pair, who are partners in Get the Look hair and beauty salon in High Street, Amblecote, Stourbridge, painted the whole front of their shop wall in hot pink, with black woodwork.
The look is complete with pink decor, curtains and hair dryers inside.
The 23-year-old sisters, who share a flat opposite their shop, opened Get the Look in March 2010 and at first it was plain white.
“A few months ago we decided to paint the front wall in our favourite colour to be more noticeable – and it’s worked,” said beauty therapist Amanda, who wears a fuchsia-coloured tunic at work.
“People used to just drive past and not see us when we were in white but as soon as we went pink business was 100 per cent better.”
