A motorcyclist killed in a horror accident over the weekend was today named as Scott Illidge, from Wolverhampton.

A motorcyclist killed in a horror accident over the weekend was today named as Scott Illidge, from Wolverhampton.

The 38-year-old, from Compton, died after his black Aprillia crashed with a Citroen Xantia.

The collision happened at about 1pm on Sunday on the A488 between Shrewsbury and Bishop's Castle. Mr Illidge was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital but died from his injuries.

A post mortem examination has been carried out and an inquest is due to open at a later date. Friends and family were today paying tribute to Mr Illidge on Facebook.
