CCTV appeal over laptop theft

This flat-cap wearing man is being sought by police after a laptop was stolen from a Midland store.

Smartly dressed in an overcoat, shirt and tie and a flat cap, he was seen on CCTV around the time of the theft.

A burgundy red Acer laptop worth £500 was stolen from Comet in Carpet Trades Way on the Crossley Retail Park, Kidderminster.

Pc Ian Heeks said: “We are hoping someone will recognise this man who was quite distinctively and smartly dressed in an overcoat, shirt and tie, and a flat cap.

“Anyone who does not wish to give us their personal details can ring the Crimestoppers number.” The laptop was stolen at around 1pm on May 20 but the picture was only released today.

Pc Heeks can be contacted at Kidderminster Police Station on 0300 333 3000, quoting incident reference 383-S-200511, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
