Blaze at recyling plant shuts roads and businesses in Lye

A large fire at a recycling plant in the Black Country forced roads and businesses to close as plumes thick black smoke covered the sky.
The blaze broke out in the Rufford Road area of Lye at 12.15pm.
Fire crews battled the flames but police were drafted in to close roads as acrid smoke billowed into the air. Some nearby businesses have had to shut.
The nearby Stourbridge Road has been closed to traffic until further notice and police are urging people to avoid the area.
