Pair arrested as man is hurt in street shooting

A man was injured in an early morning shooting in a Black Country street. Two men have been questioned on suspicion of attempted murder following the shooting of the man in Tividale.
The victim, who is in his early 20s suffered minor injuries in the shooting in Tower Road.
The narrow street, just off New Birmingham Road and packed with houses and shops, was sealed off following the drama at 4am yesterday.
West Midlands Police today confirmed two men in their early 20s had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have been released without charge and inquiries are ongoing.
Det Insp Derek Packham from Force CID confirmed it was a firearms incident and two men had been held in custody.
He added:”One local man suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
“I would encourage anyone with information or any witnesses to contact us.”
The road was sealed off until around 10.30am yesterday, with neighbours saying they had been deeply shocked by the shooting
