Haul of stolen TVs and DVD players
Thursday 24th March 2011, 7:00PM GMT.
This is the haul of electrical goods worth thousands of pounds found during a police swoop on a home in Walsall.
Televisions and DVD players were among the suspected stolen goods found stashed away at a house in Paddington Walk, Bentley.
Officers swooped on the address following reports of suspicious behaviour.
Police are now urging people who have had electrical items stolen in the past few months to come forward to see if any of the goods belonged to them.
The raid took place in the early hours of March 10 and the items are currently in police storage.
Three man, all aged 23, and an 18-year-old woman were arrested and are currently on police bail pending further inquiries.
Dc Joanne Myatt-Jones, of Walsall CID, said: “We are appealing for anyone who has had electric items stolen in the last few months to come forward.
“We are trying to place the items with their rightful owners which will help us with our investigations.”
Included in the seized items found at the address is a Toshiba 42in TV, a Hitachi 15in and 26in TV, a Phillips DVD player, a Grundig FreeSat Receiver, a Grundig Sky Digibox, a Samsung 26in TV, a Pacific DVD player, a Tecnika TV/DVD combi and a Phillips 32in TV.
Anyone who thinks the items may belong to them should call Dc Joanne Myatt-Jones with the serial numbers of the stolen property on 0345 113 5000 or they can ring police dealing with it directly via 01922 433255.
In January of this year police launched a similar appeal after a large haul of suspected stolen goods was discovered at an address in Whateley Road, Coalpool, Walsall.
Five wide-screen televisions, clothing and toys were among the items recovered in the raid by police officers who were following up on information they had received.
