A fortnight of roadworks will kick off on one of Wolverhampton's busiest commuter routes this weekend, it was announced today.

Resurfacing work will begin along Willenhall Road between its junction with Deans Road and Old Heath Road on Sunday.

It is being carried out by the city council to replace the red Tarmac in the bus lane and will also include the total resurfacing of the stretch.

Temporary traffic lights will be used at certain times, leading to delays.

Elsewhere drivers and bus passengers were also today warned of hold-ups along Bull Lane, off Great Bridge Road in Moxley, when week-long resurfacing works start on Monday.

It will affect Midland Buses' 560 service between Bilston and Moxley.

The bus service will now start and finish at the island at the south end of Castle View Road.
