Away from the misery for shoppers and drivers caused by the snow – there were some people able to enjoy the winter wonderland.

Cannock has hosted its first ever Santa dash to raise money for disabled children.

The Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children, based in Hemlock Way, organised the 1.5 mile run which they now hope will now become an annual event.

People from across the region braved the Arctic conditions and the snow to take part.
