Wolves’ Christmas party for youngsters
Wednesday 24th November 2010, 11:30AM GMT.
Young Wolves fans got to meet their Molineux idols during Christmas celebrations.
Around 400 people, including members of the Young Wolves supporters’ club, flocked to Molineux for two Christmas parties yesterday and Monday.
Wolves players including Richard Stearman and former goalkeeper Matt Murray signed autographs for fans during the sell-out festivities.
Irish star Kevin Doyle, who last weekend scored his first Premiership goal this season, also got into the spirit by handing out presents to delighted members of Young Wolves.
A host of games including table top football were set up to entertain and the children strutted their stuff on the dancefloor.
Matt Murray said he was really happy with the turnout.
“We always look forward to these Christmas parties,” he said. It’s nice to interact with all our young supporters and you can tell they really enjoy it too. We have just as much fun as the Young Wolves.”
Tickets for the parties, priced £10 per child or adult, were sold out days before.
Membership of Young Wolves costs £15 a season and includes a free match ticket, club shop discounts and two joining gifts.
Children also get the chance to go along to first team training sessions at Compton Park, the opportunity to be a mascot at away games and enjoy buy-one-get-one-free offers on Grand Theatre panto tickets.
