Wednesday 22nd September 2010, 11:30AM BST.
Two drivers were taken to hospital following a three-vehicle crash in Wolverhampton.
The accident happened at the junction of Sutherland Avenue and Bilston Road at 3pm yesterday.
It is believed to have involved a small Transit-sized pick-up van which collided with the back of a taxi that then crashed into the back of a third car.
The 45-year-old taxi driver complained of neck and chest pain and was released from the taxi with the help of firefighters who used hydraulic cutting equipment to take the roof off the vehicle.
The man was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board and was taken to New Cross Hospital.
Paramedics also immobilised the 21-year-old driver of the pick-up van who complained of neck pain after sitting down in one of the ambulances to be checked over. He was also taken to New Cross Hospital.
The woman in the third car was uninjured.
