Suspended sentence for Albion ace Joe Mattock

West Bromwich Albion footballer Joe Mattock was today  handed a suspended jail sentence after pleading guilty to affray during a nightclub fracas.

The player was involved in the fracas at Liquid Envy nightclub in Church Gate, Leicester, on August 30 2009.

This was the day after his team drew at Sheffield United.

Mattock, of Grove Road, Leicester, previously denied allegations he assaulted two men and two women.
