An old brewery in Wolverhampton is the setting for a full-length feature film being made by students.

More than 120 budding film-makers from colleges and universities in the region, including Wolverhampton College and Staffordshire University, have descended on Springfield Brewery, near the station, which will be the backdrop for a version of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar.

Classrooms at Wolverhampton College have been transformed into dormitories for the students for the five-week project, which has been organised by The Co-operative British Youth Film Academy (BYFA).

Everything from camera to makeup, wardrobe and post-production is being organised by the BYFA to help students to enhance their CVs.

Producer Kate Moskal said: “BYFA gives students a chance to work on a professional feature film. They get their names in the credits, making them more attractive to potential employers.”
