A salsa-dancing granny from the Black Country has secured a place in the new Guinness Book of Records.

Paddy Jones at 76 has been recognised as the oldest salsa-acrobat dancer in the world.

She is currently at her retirement home in Spain with family, taking a break from her starring role in “Showmatch”, the Argentinian version of Strictly Come Dancing.

She told the Express & Star today she was “delighted” to be in the Guinness Book after growing up reading it with her father.

“It was something I grew up with. It’s incredible to be part of that.”

Paddy moved to Spain from Stourbridge with her husband David in 2001. She started dancing after he died shortly afterwards.
